Viernes, 1 julio 2011Vizualize.Me is a website that will enable users to turn their resume into visual data, like infographics, graphs and pictures, transforming the way prospective employees can show off their skills and experience to businesses.
The soon-to-be-launched site lets users sign in with their LinkedIn profile and turn it into a visual presentation of the information. The start-up announced itself at Startup Weekend Toronto a few days ago, where it was awarded the top prize. In its first 12 hours, it received 10,000 views and 1000 sign-ups to the invite list for the launch. A look at the first web prototype for Vizualize.Me was linked from their Twitter page:

Es alucinante el efecto que consiguen… ¿os lo imagináis en 3D por toda la ciudad?…
This project explores the invisible terrain of WiFi networks in urban spaces by light painting signal strength in long-exposure photographs. A four-metre tall measuring rod with 80 points of light reveals cross-sections through WiFi networks using a photographic technique called light-painting.
This builds on a technique that was invented for the 2009 film ‘Immaterials: the Ghost in the Field’ which probed the edges of the invisible fields that surround RFID readers and tags in the world. It also began a series of investigations into what Matt Jones richly summarised as ‘Immaterials’.
While we were mapping out tiny RFID fields, we wondered what it would be like to apply the light painting process to larger-scale fields of Bluetooth, WiFi, GSM and 3G. What if we built huge light painting apparatus that could map out architectural and city-scale networks in the places and spaces they inhabited? We’re still very interested in understanding radio and wireless networks as one of the substrates essential to contemporary design practice.

Motion Timer: una vuelta de tuerca más al Time Lapse
Viernes, 15 octubre 2010Una vez más nuestra pasión por la fotografía nos lleva hasta el Time Lapse y este a su vez al Motion Timer, se trata de un rail que incorpora un brazo motorizado con ambos motores sincronizados. Esto nos permite dar sensación de movimiento dentro del propio Time Lapse, una vuelta de tuerca más para el perfeccionamiento de esta técnica que hemos descubierto a través Luis Caldevilla, el Gurú del Time Lapse más campechano de España.
